Rich Miller combines a strong and broad expertise in business and intellectual property law with a practical entrepreneurial business background gained from years of owning and managing his own boutique law firm as well as from serving as in-house and outside corporate counsel for both public and privately held multi-national corporations in industries as diverse as consumer products, sporting goods/leisure, food, medical device, cosmetic, apparel, information technology, business services and finance. With his emphasis on the business and intellectual property aspects of Global Corporate and Capital Markets issues, Corporate Finance, as well as mergers & acquisitions, product distribution and licensing and worldwide development of brands in virtually all industries, Rich’s deep background is an asset to his sophisticated business clients. Rich has served as counsel to numerous clients in their mergers and acquisitions including a software application provider acquired by a subsidiary of Microsoft; a management group in their purchase of assets of the engineering division of a publicly held company; the subsequent sale of the entity created to purchase those assets to a major European-based consulting company; as well as the sale of a leading medical information company to United Healthcare.
Named by New Jersey Magazine and Super Lawyer Magazine as a NJ Super Lawyer, Business Law, in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010 and as a Super Lawyer in the 2009 edition of Super Lawyer: Corporate Counsel Edition, Rich has earned the highest rating A-V from Martindale Hubbell and is listed in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers
