Nancy Stone has practiced in the areas of estate planning and estate administration since 1991. She focuses on client’s needs and desired dispositions of wealth, and the projected effects of gift, estate and generation-skipping transfer taxes on the estate plan. Her practice covers a wide range of trust and estate issues from providing for the financial welfare of disabled persons, to planning for non-citizen spouses, to planning for domestic partners and extended families. She counsels individual and institutional executors and trustees in all phases of estate and trust administration, and represents them in gift and estate tax audits. Ms. Stone is sensitive to family dynamics and relationships, and believes that family controversies can be minimized or avoided if issues are properly resolved during estate planning or in the settlement of an estate or trust.

Ms. Stone is admitted to the New York and New Jersey Bars, is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Trusts & Estates Law Section, and has served on the Estate and Gift Taxation Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. She earned her B.A. from Boston University, and her J.D. from Rutgers School of Law-Newark.
