Financial Services Attorney Paul Lieberman Joins Eaton Van Winkle As Partner

EATON & VAN WINKLE is pleased to announce that Paul A. Lieberman has joined our firm as a partner and will be a significant addition to the Corporate and Securities Law, Litigation and Arbitration, and Employment Law Practice groups.

Mr. Lieberman represtents clients in the financial services industry, utilizing experiences gained from a combination of government, industry and private law firm positions.  He counsels clients regarding formation, governance, risk management, supervision, compliance, employment and regulatory issues, and a broad range of transactional matters. Mr. Lieberman advises clients regarding product development and sales practices matters and, teaming with his client’s compliance and in-house counsel staffs in coordinating internal investigations special projects, defending clients in regulatory enforcement proceedings, civil litigation, injunctive proceedings, ADR and mediations nationwide. Mr. Lieberman applies his project management skills to Early Case Assessment Strategies, enabling clients to focus on limiting exposure and cost issues through in-depth analysis of facts, proof, regulatory/statutory requirements, and precedents.

Mr. Lieberman also has expertise in matters involving cyber-security and privacy, including policy/procedures, training, due diligence reviews of third-party vendors, and breach incident reporting and responses. Large data E-discovery, document retention, production, litigation preparedness and follow-through to trial or settlement is another area where Mr. Lieberman’s skills are utilized. He assists clients in managing the spectrum of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model.

Mr. Lieberman also counsels clients on Broker Protocol compliant transactions, negotiation of compensation package, confidentiality, trade-secrets and non-competition/non-solicitation arrangements and a diverse range of employment/HR related matters. He is frequently quoted in the financial press and is a frequent presenter on compliance, supervision and regulatory developments.
